{"id":961,"date":"2011-11-21T10:04:03","date_gmt":"2011-11-21T18:04:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.suchland.com\/craig\/?p=961"},"modified":"2011-11-21T10:05:06","modified_gmt":"2011-11-21T18:05:06","slug":"show-and-tell","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.suchland.com\/craig\/?p=961","title":{"rendered":"Show and Tell"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I had <a href=\"http:\/\/www.suchland.com\/craig\/?p=902\">written earlier<\/a> about my 4-year old friend Jack&#8217;s fascination with the Mars rovers, and got this report from his mother about Jack taking the\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/B000GLXR5S\/craiglog\">rover model<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0I bought him to preschool for show and tell (although I guess these days they call it &#8220;sharing&#8221;):<\/p>\n<p>Jack began his presentation by doing his impression of the airbag-encased rover bouncing on the surface of mars, then driving off his landing platform. He then explained to his classmates all about driving around, taking pictures and looking at rocks &#8211; illustrating each point with his model. During the question and answer period, he expertly fielded each one, including a question from a parent who was helping out in class that day. Finally, one of the kids asked how the rovers get back from Mars.
