 ichele Suchland is a watercolor artist
who combines vibrant colors, strong light and shadows, and reflective surfaces to create drama
in her paintings. Her close-up compositions create a more intimate view of her subject matter.
Michele's choice of still lifes provides her with the opportunity to manipulate objects and
light, and the challenge of making the ordinary, extraordinary.
Michele is an award-winning artist who has exhibited both locally and nationally. She most
recently won the Walter Foster Publications Award in the Watercolor West XXXII Annual Exhibition.
Michele is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, Watercolor West
and the Alaska Watercolor Society. She is represented by Artique Ltd. in Anchorage, Alaska.
