Delta Gets It

Jon Udell describes the new Delta flight information system – it’s something that I always thought should be available, and I’m glad to see it finally happening. Hopefully, this is a trend that will continue.

Another small, less sophisticated, example I ran across is the Alaska Division of Motor Vehicles. A recent visit to their new Benson Boulevard location was made very efficient by their new “take a number, then sit down and watch an Alaska nature film” approach (as opposed to the old “stand in the never-moving line” system previously used), with the TV monitors showing the customer number now being served. Of course, my visit would have been even more efficient had I known about the DMV Office Web Cams before I left the office!
