NEAR Landing?
NASA’s Near Earth Asteroid Rendezvous (NEAR) mission is preparing for the February 12 controlled descent to the surface of asteroid 433 Eros (otherwise known as “landing”, or more likely, “crash landing”).

Heimlich Maneuver
While having breakfast yesterday at a small restaurant, a woman at a nearby table began to choke – it quickly became obvious that she was in trouble and needed assistance. I found out that I actually new how to perform the Heimlich maneuver. After it was over, all I could think about was what would I have done if it hadn’t worked? (he’s the answer from the American Heart Association)

LEGO Moviemaker
I wish I’d seen this before Christmas! The LEGO & Steven Spielberg Moviemaker Set is a mini LEGO movie studio complete with a USB movie camera. The software included lets you create stop-action animation, add dialogue and credits, make sound effects and add background music, and “other tips and tricks of the trade”.
